Nestling in one of the most prestigious sites of the Alps, at the bottom of Mont Blanc, 5 km away from Chamonix, the world capital for ski and mountaineering, Les Houches is located at an altitude of 1000 m, and offers an amazing panorama. Its architecture has remain genuine, and respectful of the traditional image of a stay in the mountain. With 55 km of ski runs going up to an altitude of 1900m, included the international world cup slope "La Verte des Houches", the downward run of the World Cup, its snow-blowers, you will live in Les Houches intense, sports and contemplative moments.

In the heart of Les Houches, discover the new beginners’corner : Le Tourchet. Come and enjoy skiing at night every Thursday. Free nocturnal skiing every Thursday during school holidays in December and February, torch light descent by ESF (Ski School) at 5:30 p:m, followed by hot drink and snacks. See prices

Cross-country skiing :

For cross-country skiing, Les Houches offers several marked out runs on 5 km. You can get to the ski runs, located at the Prarion summit at an altitude of 1900m, by ski lifts. Using these ski lifts requires the prior acquisition of a pedestrian return tocket. When you are up there, you will have an exceptional 360° panoramic view on the aiguilles de Chamonix.

Chamonix Valley

Right at the heart of the highest alpine mount of Europe, Mont Blanc, Chamonix Valley stretches on 20 km. The domain is vast enough for everybody to enjoy what they like, from hill-walkers to mountaineers.

Mont Blanc Unlimited Passes - MBU

With this pass, you can ski on more than 400 km of slopes, or 50 000m of denivellation and more than 100 ski lifts. You will discover everyday a new ski area in the Chamonix Valley, in Italy or Switzerland. But you also have access to the Aiguille du Midi ski lift, Montenvers-Mer de Glace train and Mont Blanc streetcar.
